Seasonal Skinny Wk 17: FESTIVE Pilates Penguin!

Well, whaddya expect???  I couldn’t miss out on doing a Festive Seasonal Skinny with my Christmas Jumper, now could I?!?

Here I am on Christmas morning – yes, I really did wear this on Christmas Day – standing in Pilates stance (feet in a V shape) with my wee friend, the present holding, Pilates penguin.

Don’t we just look delightful in our matching Santa hats?

I bought this jumper waaaay back in October because, as well as having a soft spot for pandas, as here, when I’m wearing my Panda brooch, I also have a soft spot for penguins.  Its cute 3D, red pom pom on its Santa hat, totally tickled my festive taste buds.

Add a little bit of bling and a Santa hat and we’re ready to go rockin’ around the Christmas tree….

There wasn’t just bling around my neck.  This cute, Christmas bells brooch has adorned my Santa hat for many a year now.  It simply wouldn’t be Christmas without it!

And no penguin decorated jumper on Christmas Day would be complete either, without a pair of pom pom hatted, penguin socks!

In between the eating of far, far too much cheese and chocolate and the drinking of Prosecco, penguin and I managed to do a little Pilates for you.  Well, penguin is holding a gift.

It was not necessarily the wisest move to do a little Side Bend, as even at this point in the morning, I had had far, far too much cheese and chocolate and had drunk several glasses of Prosecco.  I was probably already four sheets to the wind.

Plus, I don’t know if you’ve ever attempted a Side Bend wearing bling and a Santa hat but trust me, dear reader when I say it’s quite hard attempting a Side Bend wearing bling and a Santa hat, as you discover the bling whacks you in the teeth and the pom pom of the Santa hat whacks you in the face!

Never mind, here goes! Drum roll please …

Up we go, reaching to the sky…

And over we go into a side bend…

And breeeeeeeathe into that stretching top side to expand the lung like a helium balloon.

And then back down we go, before repeating on the other side.

small voice of reason says;

‘Can I get back to the cheese and the chocolate and the Prosecco now please?’

Certainly, you may!

We don't have such a phenomena as a Christmas jumper here in Oz for obvious reasons 🙂
Your penguin and moves are adorable.
Well done for doing Pilates on a cold surface! Xo Jazzy Jack

I couldn't resist him, Kezzie, he melted my heart! The brooch may only come out once a year but I do love wearing it.

Ha, ha, I have cuteness oozing from every pore! No, wait, that's just oily skin, I think. Anyway, I thought the penguin (and so did he, by the way), struck that difficult balance between being festive and adorable without being obnoxious too! But, he's packed away now, he's had his 15 minutes of fame and it is indeed back to the real world!

It was probably the only bit of Pilates I did over the whole festive break! Oops, don't tell my clients or my teacher that though. Happy New Year to you too, Anna.

Oh you must give more lessons online! Wearing the exact same outfit of course right after having filled your face and drank like a true French woman. (We all know they can hold their liquor!)

    Your socks kill me.

    bisous

Your penguin sweater is adorable and perfect for Christmas! Thanks for the pilates lesson! You're definitely a pro. I've never tried pilates, but there's always a first time for everything!
