I Was Featured on Links a la Mode: 28th January

It’s been awhile since I submitted a blog post to the weekly round up Independent Fashion Bloggers run so I thought it was about time for another go.  So pleased I took the time to do so, as lo and behold, my menswear inspired post, Suited & Booted was chosen.

In it I give a few easy tips on how to style a more masculine look, whilst retaining a few feminine touches, by using a leather jacket from my wardrobe that up until then, had hardly been worn.  And now I know how I can style my jacket so that it has its own sartorial spotlight and rightly earn its place in my wardrobe, it’s a keeper.

Thank you to Lisa at IFB for choosing my post to be included alongside some other great posts.

Do check out some of the other bloggers included in this week’s round-up; eclectic reading at its finest.

Colors, hues, and shades, oh my! In addition to the discussion of the 2016 Pantone colors and the who, what, where to wear them, shades of blush and black seem to have made it to the top of the honorary colors list. Now, perhaps it has to do with the upcoming Valentine’s Day holiday, but I was still loving all the color stories IFB bloggers were telling. Please continue to gear up for the holiday of love, and I’ll look forward to a few more love and color centric posts as the 14th of February nears.

Large or small, wardrobes can make or break getting ready for the day or a night out on the town. Read up on tips to building a capsule or classic wardrobe that will make you think twice the next time you are out shopping. Plus, reasons why and how to hold on to that leather coat. Also, a look back to a time before blogging, as well as services and point of views to consider in the business of blogging.

And proof that I must live under a rock surfaced when two fashion trends emerged that had yet to make it on my radar. Faux freckles and cape blazers. What?

Thanks Samantha. It was a last minute decision but it paid off and is always a welcomed boost when something like this happens and I never take it for granted.

Thanks Jodie. I'm not usually a sequin kinda gal, but that tie is definitely a hit with me!
